On the Pacific, it's common to release a dozen or more sails and even a marlin or two in a single day, and not unusual to release more than 30 sail-fish a day. There are also dolphin (including the long-standing International Game Fish Association's all-tackle record 87-pounder), giant yellowfin tuna, wahoo, cubera, roosterfish, a variety of snapper, grouper, blue runners, rainbow runners, snook and much more. And Costa Rica fishing boat operators release all billfish that are not record contenders, so the future of the resource is assured.

“We used Dan Ross to book our fishing trip in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Dan had things
organized and gave us a complete itinerary of our stay in Costa Rica. Being in
wheelchairs where it would have tough to get to the boat, Dan met us in Tamarindo
and made sure we had transportation to our boat every day, driving us to the
launching point. He also drove us each night to restaurants as both he and his
family joined us for the week (his wife Emma is the nicest lady you would ever
meet). The fishing in Tamarindo, Costa Rica (we were there for the last part of January 2008)
was amazing. We landed 4 Marlin, 3 Sailfish and tons of Dorado. Our trip was
topped off on the last day of fishing by fighting a 500+ Black Marlin. Overall,
